Centre's $46 million renovation

Exclusive Event to benefit the neighbourhoods directly affected by the tornadoes of August 20th through the City of Vaughn Communities in Bloom program

Toronto, Ontario (October 04, 2009) - In celebration of its $46 million recent renovation, Promenade mall invites shoppers to Jeans n' Jewels, a shopping event for those customers who want to be the first in fashion. The mall is hosting the after-hours event Sunday as a fun night of fashion and shopping with a special community tie. "As a proud member of the Vaughan community, we are happy to give back by contributing to the restoration of the City streetscape and public grounds following the tornadoes that destroyed trees, park space and local streetscapes," said Donna Rosati, Marketing Director.

The evening will include a silent art auction featuring works from acclaimed Canadian artists including Bob Amirault, Annette Blady, Frankie Ip, Bill Beard, Jill Segal, Bonnie Steinberg, Stephanie Beard and Al Van Mil.

Proceeds raised from the silent art auction will go to the City of Vaughan Communities In Bloom program and will be used to purchase trees and restore neighbourhood streetscapes destroyed by the tornadoes of August 20.

For an admission price of $25 shoppers are granted entrance to the mall and access to many exclusive one-night only discounts and special offers. The evening promises to be one of indulgence and surprises with goodie bags for the first 1,000 guests, prizes and live entertainment. Gourmet goodies and wine tastings will complete the experience. Jeans n' Jewels takes place on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 7-9 p.m.
