The Oceana Ball 2010 - Liberty Grand (August 27, 2010)

The Oceana Ball is a volunteer based group of talented and passionate individuals of all ages, who share the same ambition for the success of the Herbie Fund. The Oceana Ball name was derived from the meaning of unity; a fantastical body of water which connects all continents of the world together for the greater good and well being of humanity. When we join forces, miracles happen.

The Herbie Fund is a volunteer based group that has been fundraising for over 30 years at The Hospital for Sick Children, steadfast in their belief that no child should be denied medical care based on race, religion, geography, or financial status. They believe that the future of our world lies in the health and well being of our children, and that there is no higher generosity and compassion than to care for a child.

The Herbie Fund is intended to carry out acute (one-time) treatment only, such as Cardiac, Plastic and Neurosurgery. Children requiring long-term care for medical conditions such as cancer, transplants and rehabilitation are not eligible to receive Herbie Fund assistance.

The Herbie Fund relies solely on donations and fundraising dollars. The number of children assisted depends entirely on the amount of money donated.

Digital Pixie would like to thank Brittney Kuczynski (Chair, Oceana Ball), Beverly McMillan (Co-Chair, Oceana Ball) and to everyone that joined in celebrating this worthy cause at the Oceana Ball... Changing the season, Changing live.
