Fashionable Canadians united in support of a cure for children's cancer at the one-of-a-kind STRUT FOR A CURE sold out event at Berkeley Church on May 27, 2010. Presented by FASHION Magazine and benefiting the Coast-to-Coast Against Cancer Foundation, STRUT FOR A CURE starring supermodel Coco Rocha, brought fashion and music to life with a fashion show showcasing the 2010 collection of international designer Todd Lynn, emceed by Canadian fashion icon and host of CTV's Fashion Television Jeanne Beker and headlined by electro-pop sensation Dragonette. Poised to be a “Fashion and Music Playground” STRUT FOR A CURE is a multi-level event that turns a stellar fashion show into a rockin’ late night party. Glitz and glamour prevail as party-goers sip on cocktails and indulge in a stylish collection of tasty treats while dancing the night away. STRUT FOR A CURE 2010 The Cause STRUT FOR A CURE was launched spontaneously in 2009 in Barrie, Ontario when 11-year old Erika sought help from cousin, supermodel Coco Rocha to raise funds in support of children diagnosed with cancer. With the success of the inaugural year, Strut for a Cure is making a move to Toronto for this years bigger and better event. Coast-to-Coast Against Cancer is a volunteer-based organization that provides financial and other support to childhood cancer charities focused on helping children and their families live with and beyond cancer. The mandate of the foundation is to create high quality and physically challenging events on a national basis to raise needed funding for worthy childhood cancer charities. 100% of all donations are directed to supported charities based on the greatest need with no use of professional fundraising or telemarketing organizations. Coast-to-Coast creates long-term partnerships with charities.
