Teddy Bear Affair 2010 - Metro Toronto Convention Centre (November 6, 2010)

Toronto, November 7, 2010 – Last Night, more than 1,000 of Canada’s corporate and social elite were surrounded by the sights, sounds and entertainment of all things British as the Children’s Aid Foundation hosted its 24th annual Teddy Bear Affair gala at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

We are grateful for the continued generosity and support of our donors, volunteers and sponsors,” said Peter Lee, Chair of the Children’s Aid Foundation. “Since its inception, the Teddy Bear Affair has raised more than $18 million with 100 per cent of proceeds directly funding programs that support abused and neglected children and youth across Canada. This is a feat that wouldn’t be possible without the overwhelming support from our community.

An internationally award-winning event, the Teddy Bear Affair is celebrated for its spectacular and memorable entertainment that excites audiences year after year. This year’s theme was the Best of Britain and brought everything from the pomp and circumstance of British Royalty to the fashion and sounds of the Swinging Sixties to downtown Toronto. The music, entertainment and décor showcased the opulence of Old World Britain. The entertainment included trapeze performances and spectacular Led Zeppelin, the Clash and Beatles cover bands.
