One of Toronto's most popular and diverse events, the CHIN International Picnic has been a staple of the city for over 40 years. The CHIN Picnic embraces and celebrates the different cultures of Toronto with the world's largest free picnic and music festival attracting more than 250,000 people. The celebrations begin at noon on Canada Day, with the ceremonial singing of the National Anthem and the raising of the flag at 2:30pm. Come for the Mr. & Miss CHIN International Bikini Contests and stay for the world's greatest entertainers from Italy, Portugal, China, South Asia, Eastern Europe and South America; or get your thrills at sporting events such as cycling races, boxing bouts, wresting matches, Tae Kwon Do presentations and Martial Arts demonstrations. Bring the entire family to the CHIN Picnic Midway, play some games, visit the petting zoo, and marvel at the felines of the Jungle Cat World and the talented canines in the K-9 Dog Challenge. Feast on foods of the world, shop the huge 100,000 square foot bazaar, and get to know your neighbours from around the world!
