Toronto, February 11, 2010 - In its fifth year, the Toronto Public Library hosted the The Book Lover's Ball at Toronto's historic landmark, The Fairmont Royal York. Enjoy a night of pure winter delight with an extraordinary dinner and brilliant fashion show inspired by famous scenes in literature, featuring stunning couture designs. Proceeds from the Book Lover’s Ball will enhance the work of Toronto's Library, the busiest urban public library system in the world. A cocktail reception will beheld where guests will relish in exquisite hors d’oeuvres inspired by Celebrity Chef Patrick McMurray of Starfish Oyster Bed & Grill. Over a wonderful dinner, get to know Canada’s leading authors and finish the evening off with a stunning novel-inspired fashion show, one of the event’s unique features. Inspired this year by eight diverse books; Twilight, Spartacus, Water for Elephants, La Dolce Vita, Outlander, Sherlock Homes, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Slumdog Millionaire.
