TORONTO - Suzanne Rogers Presents Marchesa could arguably be the most elegant, exclusive VIP, sold out event being held at the famous Carlu on April 5^th, 2011 this year. As Honorary Chair, Sarah, the Duchess of York officially opened the gala evening which featured the first ever Machesa fashion show in Canada followed by a black tie dinner. Also in attendance were the co-founders of Marchesa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.

The gala raised $925,000 to support four charities. The primary beneficiary is the Herbie Fund which provides financial support to children around the world in order to receive surgical treatment at SickKids Hospital in Toronto. Additional charities include the Children's Aid Foundation in Toronto, The Rose Home for Children in New Delhi, and the Sarah Ferguson Foundation, founded by the Duchess and supported by Michael and Ophelia Lazaridis, to put a spotlight on charities that make a difference and aims to educate global community regarding the needs of mothers and children.
