The Miss Latina™Canada pageant is an annual event produced since 2004 by ES Team™ Productions, and is a pending registered trademark with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). The pageant is the first of its kind in Canada for the Latin community. Every year women of Hispanic heritage from across the country compete for the internationally recognized title. Winners of the event go on to represent Canada at international pageants around the globe, sign with ES Team™ Model & Talent, and receive an array of gifts and prizes from sponsors. Miss Latina™ Canada is the only Latin pageant title that is recognized by both English and Spanish speaking people. Since its inception winners have placed in the Top 10 rankings worldwide, have travelled to Ecuador, Chile, & Brazil as official Canadian ambassadors, and spent time in Hollywood, California training at the New York film academy. In 2008, Miss Latina™ Canada will air prime time nationally on Nuevo Mundo Television, Canada's first 24 hour Spanish language television channel. This is the first time that Latin women across the country will be given national exposure in such a capacity on Canadian television.

The Miss Latina Canada Organization and 20 delegates from across Canada arrived in Toronto on August 19th, 2008. 20 women from across Canada competed in a traditional pageant style competition being judged on interview skills (50% of the score), Evening Gown (30%), and Swimsuit (20%), for an array of prizes. The winner will be crowned Miss Latina Canada 2009.

A lot of hard work has been put into this production and on August 21, 2008 the delegates were treated to a party at Luxy Club located at 60 Interchange Way, Vaughn. It was a very upscale and posh club filled with spectacular European Design and awe-inspiring lightshow that will certainly surpass ones wildest expectations. The venue is 13,000 sq/ft and was perfect for the Miss Latina Canada 2009 party. As the music started to fill the palace, the 20 beautiful delegates took command of the dance floor and partied away into the night. This was the night to relax and enjoy themselves before the pageant begins!
